In preparation for Fiber Connect we finished up a pole assessment dashboard in collaboration with Vulcan Line Tools, it’s available for anyone:
“Red Yellow Green” Make Ready Assessment
Vulcan’s software Azymth lets you take accurate measurements for utility pole assessment and cost analysis much more cost effective than any solution on the market. This is a great fit for the early planning stages of network deployments where the budget for detailed make ready collection and analysis just isn’t available.
For the dashboard we color coded all of the poles based on the cost for a high level visual overview of cost effective and cost prohibitive fiber routes. We also embedded street view, make ready .pdfs, a 3d visual of the pole with points-of-attachments, and general pole congestion data.
